GOAL

The goal of Fling is to revolutionize the banking experience by providing users with a holistic platform that goes beyond simple transactions. Fling aims to empower users by offering personalized budgeting features tailored to their individual financial goals and lifestyles.

RESEARCH

To gain insight into users' pain points and needs, a carefully crafted survey was distributed to a sample of users, and two literature research works were critically reviewed to also understand the impact of financial education on users' behavior. The pain points identified from both sources were synthesized into personas, making it easier to empathize with users while considering how their backgrounds and user types might influence their interaction with the application. When prioritizing problems to address, those most aligned with the product's overarching goals were selected and carried into the design phase.

DESIGN

I developed the sitemap, low-fidelity wireframes, and prototype to translate ideas from the research phase into tangible concepts. Following the first iteration, high-fidelity mockups were created. I then organized a usability testing session with initial users, uncovering issues that could have hindered an optimal user experience. These issues were addressed, and accessibility features were incorporated to enhance the design. By the end of the project, I learned that the best designs are always user-centered and inclusive.
